Prioritising sustainability is not a happy accident - it’s part of our DNA. Our philosophy is about being 'lovely to people, lovely to Australia and lovely to the planet. It’s the core of what we do. From our packaging, to the way we source our flowers, and the people we choose to do business with, doing good for the earth is always on our mind. While we aren’t perfect, we’re pretty proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and we’d love to share it with you!

Flowers are flown in from all over the world, in transit for up to a week, which not only creates a huge carbon footprint but also means nasty pesticides at border control and a reduced shelf life. Our Paddock To Posy™ promise means longer-lasting flowers for our customers, more support for Aussie flower farmers and better outcomes for our planet.

We are very picky about the people we work with. We have a strong commitment to supporting local flower growers and small Australian businesses doing cool sh*t. We work with local legends who have similar values to us, and who care about treading lightly on the planet.

Here are some examples of the cool people we work with:

• Our cookie bakers package all their products in a 100% compostable wrap made out of corn.
• Our plant care partner uses organic waste and turns it into nutrient plant superfood (oh, and plants a tree for every product sold).
• One of our children’s toy suppliers collects discarded fishing nets polluting our seas, and turns them into stunning toys.

While there’s lots more we could talk about, we know there’s still a long way to go. Flowers and plants bring a huge amount of joy to us and our customers, but they are so heavily reliant on their environment to grow and flourish. Taking care of the land and treading lightly where we can will continue to be a driving force for us for as long as we exist to make people’s day.
